We are looking for an entrepreneurial and highly motivated intern. We work for all the major (and minor) players in the Dutch financial industry on strategy and transformation projects, tailored to the finance and risk domains. Our work is based on detailed knowledge of our clients’ ecosystems. That is why we should stay on top of the market trends and developments that impact the performance of the finance and risk management function. 

WHAT WILL YOU DO 

You will be involved in various internal activities focusing on providing insights into domain-specific topics by conducting research. Your knowledge, interest, research skills within finance and risk domains will be an important asset.  

You can decide the topic of your research based on your own interests; however, your research should align with our focus: the CFO and/or CRO domain within the financial services industry. 

Below a few examples of research that has been conducted by previous interns at Mount.  

• Incorporating Climate risks in risk models and supervisory frameworks 
• Regulating the financial transition – breaking down Europe’s Sustainable Finance regulations: SFDR, EU Taxonomy and CSRD 
• The application of AI in the financial value chain of banks and insurances. 

Use these examples as inspiration, but please do not write a proposal on these topics.  

Your investigation will help us define the next wave of possibilities for our client and will bring you close to our client’s processes and the newest developments. 

WHO ARE YOU 

• You have finished or are graduating soon from a relevant study, e.g., BSc or MSc in Finance, Economics, Business Management, Strategic Management or equivalent. 
• You can express yourself fluently in English and you have at least a basic understanding of the Dutch language. 
• You have the confidence and energy to challenge us and yourself. 
• You are available for a minimum of three months. 

HOW WILL WE SUPPORT YOU 

We will accommodate you with our expertise as well as our network. We give you the opportunity to present your study's outcome to our clients, i.e., during one of our Round Table events. While research will be a considerable part of your day, you will also participate in other internal activities and thus gain a feeling of what it is like to work as a starting consultant at our office. As an intern you will also be part of the team and join all our company formal and informal events, such as company lunches and trainings.
